The US-based adhesives giant Nordson Corp. is targeting the growing market of plastics machinery makers in China seeking top-shelf components. Most machinery manufacturers are looking for precision parts as their machines are getting better and are looking for a support network for exports, especially the OEMs. Nordson serves the injection, extrusion and recycling-machinery sectors with dies, screws, barrels, filtration systems, pumps and valves, being the result of a five-year acquisition binge. It acquired well-established brands such as Chippewa Falls, Extrusion Die Industries LLC, Xaloy Inc., and two German companies that were subsidiaries of Kreyenborg Group: Kreyenborg GmbH and BKG Bruckmann & Kreyenborg Granuliertechnik GmbH. Nordson feels that it is advantageous to have factories around the world to meet the ever-increasing demand.
