Manufacturing is slated to undergo a shift from traditional methods for customized manufacturing to 3D. Stratasys, a manufacturer of 3D printers and 3D production systems for office-based rapid prototyping and direct digital manufacturing solutions, is exploring the Indian market and is opening a second office in India. The CEO of the company, David Reiss, is meeting potential customers like hospitals, auto makers and manufacturing companies. India already has several 3D manufacturing companies such as Cycloid Systems, Imaginarium, Brahma 3, Think 3D, and 3Geometry. These companies are engaged in selling printers, preparing moulds and prototyping. Recently, HP also launched two new 3D printers.
